Initial situation

A manufacturer of garden furniture wanted to produce one of its products, which it had previously made from 100% virgin plastic, partly from recycled plastic. He was not sure up to what proportion of recycled material the product properties would be comparable to those of the original product.

Solution and services

We developed a concept for how the customer could collect the relevant data and then evaluated it. Today, the customer manufactures 80% of this piece of furniture from recycled material and thus not only has a more sustainable product range, but also saves 15% of its costs each year.
