Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your device that enable analysis of your use of the websites you visit. Google Analytics may also use so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons allow for the evaluation of visitor traffic on websites. The information generated through cookies and web beacons about your use of our website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to a Google server, possibly located in the USA or other third countries, and stored there. This information may be shared by Google with its contractual partners.

Information about standard contractual clauses and data transfers to the USA by us to Google, as well as further relevant details about data processing by Google in the context of using Google services, can be found in this privacy policy under the section “Information on Google Services.”

The following data types are processed by Google:

  • Online identifiers (including cookie IDs)

  • IP address

  • Device identifiers

More detailed information about the data processed can be found at:
https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/#infocollect
under “Information we collect as you use our services,” as well as at:
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/adsservices/

We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization enabled (“anonymize IP”). This means your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

In addition, we have entered into a data processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics (Art. 28 GDPR). Google processes the data on our behalf in order to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for us, and provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

By integrating Google Analytics, we aim to analyze user behavior on our website and respond accordingly. This allows us to continuously improve our services.

The purpose of processing the data collected as part of the consent process is to document your consent.

The legal basis for processing personal data within the scope of measurement is your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

The legal basis for processing data as part of obtaining consent is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in being able to prove that you have given your consent to the measurement process (Art. 7 (1) GDPR).

As part of the data processing agreement, Google is entitled to appoint subprocessors. A list of these subprocessors can be found at:

Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if such third parties process the data on Google’s behalf.

If you have deactivated individual tracking services (e.g. by setting an opt-out cookie), this deactivation will remain in effect for all tracking tags managed via Google Tag Manager.

The purpose of integrating Google Tag Manager is to allow a streamlined and manageable implementation of various services. Additionally, it helps optimize the loading time of these services.
