Initial situation

A customer from the construction industry wanted to replace its polyvinyl fluoride films with a fluorine-free alternative due to the legal restrictions against PFAS. It was important to him that the replacement product had equally good weather resistance at comparable costs.

Solution and services

After evaluating the necessary material requirements and researching the literature, we identified fluorine-free polyurethane-coated films as an alternative. The customer switched to these films and even saved some additional costs.
